Shatter Me series is a young adult dystopian romantic thriller which is written by Tahereh Mafi, and was published on November 15, 2001. The story of this book is narrated by Juliette, who is a 17-year-old girl with a lethal touch and is unusual in that it contains passages and lines that have been crossed out like a diary entry. The initial book in the series released on November 15, 2011. An e-novella titled Destroy Me, narrated from Warner’s perspective, published on October 6, 2012. The sequel in the series, Unravel Me, released on February 5, 2013. Following the release of the second book, an additional e-novella titled Fracture Me, narrated from Adam Kent’s perspective, was released on December 17, 2013. The third installment, Ignite Me, came out on February 4, 2014.
Unite Me launched for the first time alongside the release of Ignite Me. Unite Me includes the two e-novellas, Destroy Me and Fracture Me, and offers a special glimpse into Juliette’s journal. The fourth novel, Restore Me, released on March 6, 2018. Shadow Me, an e-novella told from Kenji Kishimoto’s perspective, released on March 5, 2019. The fifth installment, Defy Me, came out on April 2, 2019. The final book, Imagine Me, released on March 31, 2020. Tahereh Mafi revealed that Believe Me would released on November 16, 2020. This is the fifth novella narrated from Warner’s perspective, occurring after the events in Imagine Me. It was released on November 16, 2021. A spin-off series titled Shatter Me: The New Republic focusing on James Kent was revealed on August 20, 2024, with the initial book Watch Me occurring a decade after the Shatter Me seris events.

#1 Shatter Me
Shatter Me is the first book of the ShatterMeSeries, in this book, Juliette has not touched anyone in 264 days. The last time she did touch was in an accident but the Reestablishment locked her up for murder. In the book, no one is aware of why Juliette’s touch is fatal. No one cares until her touch proves fatal for anyone, because the world is too busy in crumbling the pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Several diseases are destroying the population, the food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore in the city and the clouds are the wrong color. In fact, the Reestablishment in the book said that their ways were the one and only way to fix the things in the town.
Therefore they throw away Juliette in a cell, after this event many people die in the town and survivors are whispering war. This turn of events led the Reestablishment to change their mind. This incident hinted that Juliette might just be more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. And maybe she is exactly what the town needs right now. By now Juliette has to make one difficult choice, either to kill herself and Adam or become a warrior.
#2 Unravel Me
Unravel Me is the second book of the ShatterMeSeries, where Juliet has escaped to Omega Point. This Omega Point is the place for people like her, that is people with gifts and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance. Coming to this she is finally free from the Reestablishment, free from their plans to use her as a weapon, and is also completely free to love Adam. Yet readers and Juliette both realize that she will never be free from her lethal touch. Or from Warner who wants Juliette more than what she has ever thought of.
